“Nothing gets into my crease, Lucy. I still hold the league shutout record. But you snuck between my legs and now I can’t get you out of my head.”
BECKETT
Lucy Solomon showed up to watch a hockey game in a luxury box wearing jeans and a hoodie, and she didn't give a puck who I was. Now the hotter it gets between us the better my team does on the ice, and I'm getting superstitious. I'm not skating around my feelings--I want to win the playoffs, and I want Lucy, but something's gotta give.

LUCY
After being in a grad school cave for two years, it made sense that I'd be drawn to a Neanderthal. I melted for Beckett Hallstrom's brazen moves and boyish charm when we first met, but things exploded when I found out who he really was. Beck wants me to be his good luck charm, but the press is relentless and now my career is in jeopardy. Every competition has a loser and I'm afraid it's going to be me losing my heart.

THE SIN BIN is a fast and feverish standalone sports romance novella, where high sticking is totally allowed.

**********
I never realized how little I knew about hockey, so I could completely relate to Lucy in this respect. She was an amazing and fun character. Her shy boldness (you'll get what I mean) was just beyond adorable. When she agrees to sit in the super nice box seats at the playoff hockey game with her brother, she isn't sure what to expect - and it shows in her dressed-down appearance among all the women in designer dresses and handbags.

Beckett doesn't get off to a good start with her, but through a series of very fortunate events, Lucy grows on him and he can't stop thinking about her. Beckett was a pretty standard alpha male, but his role in the hockey program was a little different. It was nice to see someone off the court instead of one of the current stars getting the girl.

Nikky Kaye's romances are short, hot, and sexy. She definitely didn't disappoint with The Sin Bin. The sex is off the charts hot and there's at least a hint of humor on every page. There was a little falling out between them about halfway through that I wish had more substance behind it and more fall-out after it. Also, I want Lucy's friend to get a hockey player now - any chance this could become a series? I hope so!
