Published by: Amberjack Publishing
Publication date: July 11th 2017
Genres: Romance, Time-Travel, Young Adult
Zat is a dreamer from the distant future—a time when humans no longer dream and Earth is a desolate wasteland. He dreams of the beautiful Earth of the past, and a fiery-haired beauty named Babe. Against the wisdom of his peers, Zat decides to risk everything to travel back in time and live in Babe’s dreams…
Babe is the perpetual new girl in town. Her father’s job frequently moves the family around the country, and Babe just longs for a place to call home. As she settles into the sleepy town of Sugar Dunes, Florida, Babe begins to have strange dreams of a green-eyed boy named Zat. Night after night, Babe shows Zat her world. But the dreams come at the cost of nearly crippling migraines every morning. Babe’s life outside of her dreams pales in comparison to her growing love for Zat and their time spent together.
But the more time Babe and Zat spend together in her dreams, the more Babe’s pain increases, and Zat begins to question the reality of his existence. How can he live a life with Babe, when all they have is her dreams?
Can a dream become a reality?

Excerpt:
Every house I’d ever lived in had been a version of the same basic plan. Enter in the front door. To your right are three bedrooms lined up in a row. Straight in front of you is a living/dining area. To the left is the kitchen. Bathrooms are sprinkled in.
There were minor differences. Sometimes the bedrooms were to the left and the kitchen to the right. And occasionally a family room extended from the dining room. But I pretty much always knew what the house would look like before I ever stepped foot inside.
We were always renters and this time was no different. When you can’t be sure how long your job will last, you can’t commit to buying a house. And even if we wanted to buy, my family was always short of cash. Money was even tighter since my parents tried to help my brothers out with some of their college costs, as much as they could.
“I tried to fix things up nice for you,” Dad said apologetically. “But there are a few problems that still need taking care of.”
I immediately knew what one of those problems was when I walked through the door. Fans were blowing air from every corner of every room and still it felt like I was soaking in a hot tub. A disturbingly moldy smell made me nauseous, like when you throw a wet towel in the dirty laundry hamper and then discover it a week later. Still wet and still dirty.
“We’re here now and I don’t start work until next week,” Mom said brightly. “We’ll get everything straightened out, won’t we Baby?” My mom calls me Baby. Waaah!
“Apart from the obvious air conditioner malfunction,” my dad went on, “I’m sorry to say I’m also having issues with the Wi-Fi and cable.”
“What kind of issues?” Air conditioning was one thing. Wi-Fi and cable was non-negotiable. But my dad was notoriously tech-ignorant so I didn’t immediately panic. I was pretty handy at tweaking routers and modems after so many moves.
“They claimed everything was set up but I can’t get anything to work. I called them and they put us back on the bottom of the waiting list. Next week.” My dad looked at me sheepishly. “Sorry.”
I felt bad for my dad. He never lost the optimism that each new move would be the final one. The one we’d fall in love with and the job would be permanent and secure and we’d never move again. He wanted us to believe it too, but I’d had too many letdowns to buy into that. A busted air conditioner with no Wi-Fi or cable wasn’t exactly a promising start to our latest move. But you couldn’t move around as much as we did and survive if you were a whiner. That much, at least, I’d learned.
So much for Skyping with Perry if I couldn’t fix it myself. I would’ve texted him but I’d already tried my cell phone and we were out of the service area. Just great. In the middle of a pine forest on a street named after a fish and I couldn’t even send a text.
“Good news though, honey. You have a job in the tennis shop. Booking courts and lessons, ringing up purchases. Should be fun.”
Okay, it was kind of good news because I needed the money and I liked to stay busy. Sitting around the house all day, communing with whatever nature was outside our door wasn’t exactly part of my plan. Mom would be working in the golf shop and this was the life we were used to. “When do I start?”
“Next week. You and Mom settle in first. The moving truck comes Thursday.”

Artificial Sweethearts by Julie Hammerle ~ Character Interview

Artificial Sweethearts by Julie Hammerle
Release Date: 7/10/17

About the book:

It’s not chemistry between Tinka Foster and Sam Anderson that made them agree to fake date. With her parents trying to set her up with an annoying student golf coach, and intentionally single Sam’s family pressuring him to bring a date to his brother’s wedding, they could both use a drama-free summer.

So it’s not his muscular arms and quick wit that makes Tinka suggest they tell everyone they’re both taken. Definitely not. And it’s not butterflies that makes a kiss for appearances during the lake party go on way too long—so long that Sam wishes it were real.

But Tinka keeps people at arm’s length—she’s always been second best, even to her parents. And her relationship-for-show could crush everything when she realizes she’s done with fake, pretend, and second-best.

Disclaimer: This Entangled Teen Crush book contains bikinis at the lake, a lot of making out in dark theaters, and a meet-cute you’ll read twice.

**********
Character Interview with Tinka:

What is your favorite part of summer?

Usually, I love the bit of freedom that comes with summer, being at home during the day while my parents are at work. But now that they’ve moved to North Pole, all that’s changed. My mom’s quit her job, and she expects me to help remodel the new house. And my dad has made plans for me to golf with him every single day. I’m not getting a lot of time to do my own thing. Sam’s been a great help in this area. He says I can use him as an excuse to escape any time I want.

Tell us why Sam is your best friend.

Sam gets me. He got me right away. We’ve dealt with some similar issues in our lives, and we’ve both had a hard time opening up to our families about our feelings. I think we push the each other to be more open with our parents and siblings, or, failing that, we know we can at least be honest with each other. Also, he’s just, like, the best person on the planet to hug.

Favorite movie?

My favorite movie from when I was a kid is Girls Just Want To Have Fun. My friend Karen’s mom was the one who introduced it to us, actually. The whole “girl with overbearing parents wants to do something they won’t agree with” thing really resonated with me, and still does. Also, the movie is hilarious. It’s ridiculous. Helen Hunt is my style icon. I’d love to be able to pull of dinosaur barrettes.

Favorite junk food?

I love to bake, but don’t eat the results too often, honestly. It’d be dangerous if I did. Because I’m around sugar so much, when I crave something, it’s usually salty. An open bag of chips won’t stay full for long in my presence. My favorites right now are Garden Salsa Sun Chips. I feel like, if I squint, I can pretend they’re almost healthy, even though I know they’re not.

Night owl or early riser?

Early riser, mostly because of the golf thing. I’ve had so many early tee times, it’s affected my sleep patterns.

Excerpt
High overhead, gargantuan wings beat against the night air.
Reine raised her chin and the dragon dove, clouds peeling away from its colossal body as it swirled in midair. Veined wings adorning it like a sprawling cape.
It plunged head first. Swung its body around and stared from afar, looking at them steadily with glowing red eyes.
The length of its scaled throat lit up. Fire roaring in its deep gullet.
    Reine's eyes snapped open, “Go.”
    Marceline froze. Staring.
As the dragon snapped open its gargantuan jaw and screeched.
The hairs on Marceline's arms rose.
“Get inside!” Reine screamed. Turning on her heels before sprinting.
Marceline followed, the creature piercing through the air like an arrowhead. Veined wings stretched out fully, its shadow engulfing the entire chateau.
They tumbled into Reine's chambers. Smacked their backs to the walls and watched as undead continued to pour in through the broken barricade.
Outside, the dragon roared. The warcry deafening. Air exploding from its jowls, breaking glass, splintering the walls. Kiran blanched as he flattened himself near Reine. Smashing his fox body into Marceline's legs and hips, Lucius pressed himself against her as the world seemed to pause. Slow.
A terrifying screech ripped through their ears as the dragon reared back its massive head and spewed fire. Flame burst through the broken balcony doors, orange and yellow mixing as it blasted through the chamber.

Mick & Michelle by Nina Rossing ~ Cover Reveal

Mick & Michelle
Nina Rossing
Published by: Harmony Ink Press
Publication date: October 31st 2017
Genres: Contemporary, LGBTQ+, Young Adult
Fifteen-year-old Mick Mullins has a great life: his parents are sweet, his sister is tolerable, and his friendships are solid. But as summer descends on Queens, he prepares to turn his carefree existence upside down by disclosing a secret he has kept long enough. It’s time to work up the courage to reveal that he is not a boy, but a girl—and that her name is Michelle.
Having always been the perfect, good boy, Michelle is terrified that the complicated truth will disappoint, hurt, or push away the people closest to her. She can’t continue hiding for much longer, though, because her body is turning into that of a man’s, and she is desperate to stop the development—desperate enough to consider self-medicating with hormones.
Most of all, Michelle fears that Grandpa, who is in a nursing home after a near fatal stroke, won’t survive the shock if he finds out that his favorite grandchild, and the only boy, is a girl. If she kills her beloved Grandpa by leaving Mick behind, she isn’t sure embracing her real identity will be worth the loss.

Author Bio:
Nina Rossing lives in Norway, where the winters are long and the summers short. Despite the brilliant nature surrounding her, she spends more time in front of her computer, or with a book in her hands, than in the great outdoors (though you may find her out on her mountain bike if the weather is good). She works as a high school teacher, which in her opinion is probably the best job in the world.
