Andrés
I meant every word when I told my wife how much I appreciate the way she cares for our son, but no husband should have to fight for attention like a dog begging for table scraps. It’s about time I get some action.

Christina
I’m determined to show Andrés how much he means to me, and a romantic getaway is just what we need to rekindle our passion. But after neglecting him for so long, I hope he doesn’t make me beg for it.

*These books are intended for adult readers*

Book One Review: Say When
Book Two Review: Say Yes
Book Three: Say Forever

Say Please visits Andres and Christina a few years into their marriage, but before the final scene in book three.  The book is a touching reminder that even a couple in love sometimes needs to make time for themselves.  The kids, work, chores, and life will survive.  Taking a moment to remember why you fell in love to begin with and re-connect can make a relationship very rewarding.

Andres and Christina have run into the real world of kids, jobs, and not enough time.  They need to find a way to make the time if they are going to survive.  As I mentioned earlier, it's a very touching story and an important reminder to anyone in a relationship

Christina
I love Andrés so much, more than anyone I’ve ever loved before, yet there are days when I don’t know if I want to scream, swear, or fall to pieces. We’re trying to plan a future together, but our families won’t leave us alone. What’s worse is I can see Andrés is not happy.

They say love trumps all hurdles, but some days I wonder will “our” love trump “our” hurdles? Then I look into Andrés’s sensual smile and passionate gaze and I fall in love all over again.

Andrés
When I told Christina I would love her forever, I meant every word. The nightmares are back, and I don’t know how to stop them, but I have to be strong for her. This pressure from my family and my job feels like a noose around my neck, but I will do whatever it takes to give Christina the life she deserves. She’s everything to me, and I won’t lose her.

Book One Review: Say When
Book Two Review: Say Yes

Say Forever wraps up the story of Christina and Andres in a fantastic way.  They have had quite a few ups and downs throughout the series, but this may be their biggest trial yet.  When pregnancy and wedding planning collide with two very opinionated families (with different opinions).  I still love both of these characters, but there were times they tried my patience in the book.  Throughout their ordeals they both learn to stand up for what they really want in life and look for what will make them happy.

All the characters from their lives play a role in causing their problems and helping to find a solution - some more than others.  While the book does end in a great happily every after, there is a fair share of tragendy along the way.  Just like like.  This is a great series and one I'm glad I read.

Andrés, why can’t it be enough that I love you? That I want to spend forever with you. Why must you expect so much more? I’m not ready for marriage and a family. I don’t know if I ever will be.

Christina, I need to know that what I’m putting into this relationship isn’t all for nothing. To me, you mean everything. But I won’t be your stepping stone. Because as much as it would kill me, if you refuse to commit to something more, I will walk away.

Will Christina ever be ready? Will Andrés stay or walk? Will their love endure or is it doomed before they even have a chance?

My review of Book one:  Say When

Book two of the Something More series starts out with quite the bang.  Tara West had my heart pounding immediately as we see Christina visiting baby Ty in the hospital with an unknown illness that could be life threatening.  The pace of the story stays intense throughout the whole story as Andre and Christina examine their relationship and stumble over hurdles they didn't realize were there.

Both Andre and Christina will have some life altering experiences that have the potential to draw them even closer together or separate themm forever.  There are several misunderstandings thrown in that only served to complicate things - just a little too much for my taste.  Their lives have enough without the added drama.  I did love the new family issues and experiences that they see, it explained a lot of their pasts and helped them move forward as individuals as well.  There is a massive cliff hanger at the end.....I'm not sure when Book Three will be released, but I hope it's soon.

Book Tour Review and Giveaway: Say When by Tara West

He told me to say when, but I can’t. Not with Andrés. It’s so hard to say anything when he’s trailing feather soft kisses down my neck, or when his touch sends hot currents of lust rippling across my skin.

Then there’s the way he smiles and offers soft words of encouragement when I’m creating art, almost like he believes I have talent.

He’s not like any guy I’ve ever met. Not like my ex-fiancée. Not like my father. He’s got me thinking that maybe we can have something more. More than just lust, degradation, and abuse.

And now I’m scared, because that means I’ll have to trust him with more than just my body, but with my heart, too.

A really great summer romance, Say When is a fairly light read that touches on some issues but doesn't hit you over the head with them.  Christina and Andres are both a little damaged from their past, and when they find each other Andres is quick to realize just how special their connection is.  Christina banishes Andres' nightmares and he gives her a sense of confidence she didn't realize she could have.

There are a couple side storylines about the people in their lives that really helped to round out their personalities.  Andres and Christina are some of the most rounded characters I've seen in a shorter novel.  Even Christina's mother and best friend seemed to jump off the page in a scary way and I really wanted to just pick baby Ty up and cuddle him until everything was better.

In  the end it would have been nice to see a little bit more closure in their lives, but perhaps some of these stray ends will be the opening for book two?
