After being injured in a tragic accident as a child, Marietta Edwards has lived a sheltered life. Finally recovered, she wants to indulge in pleasures that are entirely new to her, so she begins by seducing a sexy, mysterious stranger. Only after their one-night stand does she learn their families have been embroiled in a fifteen-year legal battle and the man she’s given herself to is her worst enemy.

The heir to a vast fortune, Harrison Damon believes the unforgettable night he spent with Marietta in Monte Carlo is just a fling, an escape from his responsibilities. Then he discovers she is an Edwards—the family he despises most. He can’t quench his attraction for her, but he won’t let her use it against him. He won’t let her manipulate him to win money from his family. No matter how much he wants her, he won’t let her seduce him again.

Seducing the Enemy put a nice twist on the classic tale of two rivals falling in love without realizing who the other is.  Only in this case they aren't business rivals, but almost a family feud. A member of Harrison's family, the Damons, was responsible for a horrible accident that left Marietta paralyzed for many years and took the life of her sister.  When they meet unexpectedly and unknowingly in a night club there are instant sparks.

When Harrison realizes who Marietta is, he makes some horrible accusations and I really wanted to slap the crap out of him for it.  But as we find out more about his history, his overreaction is a little more understandable, but I still had a hard time forgiving him.  Marietta doesn't seem to have the same problem, she wants to set things right and move on with her life.

In the process of moving on, she is invited to stay with the Damon family for a week and this is when things start really rolling forward, but the road is quite bumpy.  There is more Damon family baggage than we first suspect and it's all about to come out of the closet.   With odds and impressions stacked against them, Marietta and Harrison will have a lot to fight through if they want a happily ever after.
