Book Beginnings on Friday (13)

Book Beginnings on Friday at Rose City Reader is the place to share the first sentence (or so) of the book you are reading, along with your initial thoughts about the book.

I'm extra excited about this Book Beginnings because it's my 13th post on Friday the 13th!  That's got to mean something good!!  I haven't actually started this one yet, but I will be tomorrow morning.  Here's the beginning of Reforming the Cowboy by Marisa Cleveland.
